Better Beginnings Better Futures helps low income families with young children in the Heatherington/Albion/Ledbury/Fairlea neighbourhoods.  There are a number of ways that you can help.

We welcome financial donations. A charitable receipt will be issued.

Our Wish List
In addition to monetary donations BBBF also has an on-going need for many household, food, and children’s items.

Clothing and Baby Equipment
The Clothing Cupboard accepts donations of clean, gently used clothing for men, women and children, baby equipment, baby/children’s toys and small household appliances. For safety reasons we can not accept baby equipment with missing or damaged parts.

Donations can be dropped off at the BBBF Community House, 22-1485 Heatherington Road between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

BBBF encourages and supports the involvement of volunteers in our programs and services. Orientation and training will be provided to all volunteers.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to:

  • Become more involved in your community
  • Meet new people
  • Share your knowledge and experience
  • Make a difference

Student Placement
We accept applications for student placements from high schools, colleges and universities. Students on placement can serve in the Playgroup and/or the Community House. Students will be provided with an orientation and each student will be supervised by one of our staff members. Please contact Geeta Grier at 613-737-7195 ext. 2422 for further information.
